New Worship Music

Mobile App News

Hello Everyone! I am able to let you know some very important technology changes going on at RWTC. Over the next weeks you will notice that we are launching our collaboration with the best music app out on iPad with 5 out of 5 stars! Many of you may actually already have it. What I’m able to say at this point, is that Rockin With The Cross is fully integrated into the app and is now headed to Apple for review (updated version 1.93). For many of you the wait  soon be over. If you went out now to get it you’d miss the RWTC integration. We have purposely withheld the name so you don’t miss the new enhancements. We are currently being told the review process with full integration should be complete by 3/1/12.

What can the app do? SOOOOO much stuff it’s too long to go into in detail. Let’s just say that the tutorial videos alone will excite you. Here are some highlights: Bluetooth pedal controls, network set list broadcasting, teleprompter mode, presentation software, set lists + importing, song books, RWTC archive of music, on board editing, key transposing, lyric presenter, notes (sticky notes you get at staples but digital) that can be passed real time, importing, sound files, how to play chords, and the list goes on and on. You may be using a program to do one thing and another program for something else. Now its all in one software for $4.99! We will be giving another update in a few more days and then our countdown to launch. We are in the final stretch and are SO excited!

Guitar Survival Kit Winner & Mobile App teaser

January 16, 2012 1 comment

RWTC congratulates Seth Baron, the winner of the Guitar Survival Kit giveaway! Seth lives in Muncie, IN where he is the worship pastor at First Church of the Nazarene. As many of you worship pastors know you have to be a person of all trades at times and Seth is no exception. He sings, plays the guitar and has started to pick up the piano. He’s hoping second time is a charm.

“I love leading people in worship. God stirs my heart when His people sing to Him.” Seth said. “I love being in the middle of that! God has been so gracious to my family and we will forever worship Him!”

As 2012 is underway we will be announcing huge additions to Rockin’ With The Cross. As you may notice on our website our giveaway banner has changed to make ready the announcement of our mobile app platform. Many have asked for a mobile app and the ability to have everything you do, be available on the go. We are about to unveil an amazing music app. It will be a two part process with iPads, iTouch and iPhones getting the app first.  At the same time launching our wireless Bluetooth foot pedal system that allows for hands free song switching.  The app for Android devices will be released later this year. (the secret is out –we’ve joined forces with an established music app which has a 5 out of 5 rating on iTunes) At this moment we are in the process of adding the RWTC archive to the software and once that is completed we will announce our official launch to everyone. (just a little bit more time and we promise you will be blown away)

Remember that each membership allows us to keep going and equip others like you in ministry here in the U.S. and abroad. We are so excited at what the Lord is allowing us to be involved in and to do in 2012! Please know that you help us directly and indirectly minister to millions. Praying for you all!

Song Requests — A New Way

October 19, 2011 2 comments

Did you know you can request songs on Rockin With The Cross? All users can add requests and view the request list.

Is RWTC missing a song you want?
request it!

Are you good at figuring out chords?
view the list and help someone else

What’s with this Spotify app?
One of my limitations has always been if I had a copy of certain songs.  That is no longer true … there is a free service called Spotify that provides access to an enormous archive of music (both secular and Christian).  Now you have access to all of the new music.

Want to hear the new Casting Crowns album, Come to The Well or Shane & Shane‘s new The One You Need or The City Harmonic‘s I Have A Dream (It Feels Like Home)? You can on Spotify!

How is RWTC using Spotify?
You can listen to songs on our Request List. You can also add songs to our collaborative Spotify request list. First subscribe to our list, then you can drag any song into our list. We’re giving this a try to see if it catches on with our users.

So, please check out our song lists on Spotify:

Update to Transpose Function

August 10, 2011 Leave a comment

Hey worshipers,

Thanks so much for your feedback on Facebook about the new look transpose keys.  Based on your positive feedback we are rolling out the transpose feature as a series of buttons now instead of being tucked away in that drop down panel.  You can now transpose chord charts to a new key by simply clicking the key button.  The list of song keys appears at the top of the page under the song title and above the chord chart.

To change the key of the song, simply click the desired song key letter (or Nashvillle if you prefer the Nashville Notation format).

PrintPrint

To print a song, simply click the printer icon in the toolbar at the top and the song will retain its format and song key, but remove some of the website framework (headers, menus, etc) from the printing.

Copy-n-PasteCopy-n-Paste

We also, wanted to remind everyone about the copy-n-paste feature on each song.  We still get questions from time to time about how to copy the text from songs.  The quickest and easiest way is to click the clipboard icon in the toolbar (2nd from the left, between the song info icon and print icon).  This will copy the song’s text into your computer’s clipboard so you can easily paste into Word, email, etc.

Send correctionUpdate a Song

Did you notice a typo or chord placement error?  Please take a minute and send us update; click the “Send Correction” icon to send in your update.  We will review your update (please comment to tell us what you fixed), and if we agree with your update, you’ll receive a free month subscription.

RWTC Adds Set List Feature

June 8, 2011 Leave a comment

RWTC is proud to announce the set list update. This year we continue to add more features that will help you in your music planning.

Now you have the ability to use the set list option to plan out any set or sets and share it to your friends, worship team, or band mates through email, Facebook, Twitter…shoot a lot of sites…and still be able to do all this under ten minutes! Videos and tutorials are available and can show you the program in quick time.   Many of you tested the program and gave us great feedback and we thank you. As we continue to polish the program, feel free to send us comments to help us strengthen RWTC!

Set Lists Under Favorites
You can view and manipulate all of your set lists on the Favorites page.  Above your favorites, you will notice a new tab labelled “Set Lists”.  By clicking this tab, you can view all of your set lists.  By clicking on any of the set list titles, a new tab will open where you can view the set list information including song list.

New Song Toolbar

At the top of each song, you will now see a new toolbar to facilitate access to all of the old and new features. The key to the right lists each icon’s function.
